2000 Isuzu VehiCROSS;
This unique vehicle is for sale due to life changes. The family has grown, but the vehicle remains a 2 door, which makes kids and car seats very complicated. This has been a “bucket-list” vehicle of mine for a while, so when I bought it, alot of maintenance was completed to make it a daily driver. The following has been replaced:
~ Timing belt, timing belt pulleys & water pump.
~ Camshaft & Crankshaft seals.
~ Spark plugs & boots.
~ Valve cover gaskets
~ Thermostat.
~ Intake manifold gaskets.
~ Various coolant hoses under Intake manifold.
~ Upper & Lower radiator hoses.
~ Coolant & radiator cap.
~ Accessory drive belts.
~ Transmission filter, pan gasket and AT fluid.
~ Intake air filter.
~ Front and rear shocks.
~ 16″ Spare rims (smaller) for offroad tires.
~ New battery.
~ Power steering hoses (pump-to-gearbox & resivoir to pump.
Now for the negative aspects of this vehicle:
~ Salvaged title.
~ Cracked windshield.
~ A/C compressor pully is noisy/bad. A/C compressor has been bypassed with a smaller drive belt, to prevent damage. A/C has previously operated, but is noisy when not engaged/ON. Proper sized drive belt and replacement compressor pully will be supplied with sale.
~ Transfer case control module is bad. It has a few codes stored. One of them is “open/shorted electromagnetic clutch. I have tested the circuit and it operates normally. I have added a switch (in a tastefull manner) to be able to operate it manually. The switch instantly engages 4wd without issues. Personally, I prefer to have control over it versus the module controlling it automatically.
~ Power steering gearbox shows signs of leaking. (Rebuild kit will be supplied with sale.)
~Transmission shifter shaft seal leaks. (New seal will be supplied with sale.)
~ Transmission output shaft shows signs of leaking. (New seal will be supplied with sale.)
I intended to repair leaks, but have not.
Cosmetics:
~Driver seat has damage (see pictures).
