The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely accounting for all entities in adherence to GAAP guidance. High level of efficiency and integrity. This position requires considerable knowledge of accounting principles, systems, and accounting data flow, and requires advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills. This position works closely with all members of the accounting team.

Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll team providing leadership, mentoring and development opportunities. Conduct performance reviews, coaching and training.
Lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. Crosstrain within accounting departments to provide redundancy and support in key areas including payroll and accounts payable.
Assist in the development and maintenance of detailed procedures of accounting department processes and controls, including reviewing and updating SOPs for accuracy and training to prevent errors from reoccurring.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financials in accordance with GAAP, and within the company accounting system that is efficient, has high quality, and has appropriate internal controls.
Audit, review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Ensure department maintains well-organized electronic documentation.

Education and Experience

Essential

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience, 5+ years in a Financial Management position

Preferred

CPA or CMA, Bilingual (Spanish), Roofing, construction, or similar industry knowledge
