Therapeutic Associates is seeking a proficient Billing Representative to join our team! TAI specializes in orthopedics and manual therapy and pride ourselves on our one-on-one patient care and strong relationships with referral sources. Our organization is committed to the highest level of patient care, continued education, professional development, and community involvement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Billing Representative will handle primarily Oregon Medicaid and CCO claim denials. A preferred candidate will have experience with the prioritized list, eligibility checks, authorization, and billing requirements.
Employees who reside locally may work from home. Initial training, home network outages or special circumstances may require work to be performed at our business office in Tigard, OR.
Investigate claim denials by evaluating reimbursement rules, authorization guidelines, patient account information and medical records.
Re-submit corrected claims or appeal as appropriate.
Correct billing, demographic, or posting errors as appropriate.
Respond to clinic staff messages directed to the A/R Account Rep team.
Validate HIPAA releases and provide balance information to attorneys.

Minimum Qualifications:
1 year of experience working health insurance claim denials, processing authorizations, or medical billing. Oregon Medicaid experience is a plus.
Familiar with medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
Must be comfortable navigating multiple computer applications, various online insurance, and company portals.
High school diploma required. Some college preferred.
