This Financial Controller position is a management role overseeing multiple business divisions in two locations. The work would be heavy in accounting but would also include Human Resources responsibilities.

CANDIDATE IDEAL SKILLS
Proven working experience as a Financial controller or similar role
4+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Degree in business, or related field
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills, experience with/willingness to learn Quickbooks
RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTING
Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL/financials
Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts including cash flow forecasting
Oversee the preparation and publish timely monthly financial statements
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Additional controller duties as necessary
Refine and develop current inventory system
Refine and develop current job costing procedure
HUMAN RESOURCES
Oversee and execute the consistent implementation of HR procedures
Develop and refine current HR processes
Keep up to speed on regulations regarding employee benefits
Help create recruitment plans, schedules and evaluation standards
Help create salary structures and administer employee benefits
