About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Full-Time HR Specialist II / Onboarding team member for our Administrative Office in Medford, Oregon. This position will be responsible for a variety of onboarding duties including: assisting new employees through preliminary screening and new hire forms and procedures; performing professional reference checks; creating new employee files; requesting DMV driving records; using E-Verify for I-9 verifications; requesting college transcripts; verification of professional credentials; reporting and tracking personnel data; and handling confidential information. This position will require flexibility and ability to use sound judgment in managing responsibilities and deadlines. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (Day)
The ideal candidate will have a positive and cheerful personality, continually showing professionalism and excellent customer service as well as being a self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and is eager to learn.
The following criteria is REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Regular reliable attendance
• Administrative office experience including good working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent customer service experience and telephone skills
• Must have ability to deal with multiple project deadlines and overlapping responsibilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a best practices mind set
• Good attention to detail and strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential
Additional Qualifications PREFERRED:
• Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business, OR related field
• Minimum ONE – TWO years of Human Resources / Onboarding job experience;
• OR equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and skills to perform the position
• Knowledge using Apple products is a plus
• Typing speed of at least 40 wpm
Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
Pay & Benefits
$17.50-$19.00 per hour/DOE. ColumbiaCare offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, which includes: medical, dental, and vision coverage; a wellness reimbursement program; substantial sick and vacation accruals (12 days per year each); once eligible, nine (9) paid holidays, and a 403(b) plan with a generous 6% company match immediately vested.
