Ads Description

Purchases, installs, maintains, deploys, configures, and provides end-user support for instructional technology utilized in computer labs, classrooms, and testing centers at all campus locations and associated satellite facilities. This includes computer endpoints and technologies used by staff and students.

Works under the general supervision of the Director of Instructional Media.

Supervision is not a responsibility of this position. May oversee student workers.

Examples of Duties:
Collaborates with appropriate staff and faculty to develop a standard/unified operating system configuration for instructional media environments/uses. Tests, configures, and deploys software and hardware ensuring compliance with the standards set.
Researches, recommends, purchases and installs computer and instructional technology.
Supports hardware maintenance in computer labs and classrooms. Performs computer hardware repairs and facilitates warranty repairs, as applicable.
Installs, monitors, configures, updates, and troubleshoots instructional network servers, media servers, and other networking equipment and infrastructure. Ensures compliance with standard configuration images/requirements.
Develops and maintains Microsoft Active Directory group policies to aid in computer configuration, security, and network accessibility.
Support and maintain access to campus network resources. Assists students and staff with technical issues related to instructional technology including usernames/passwords, physical networks, and wi-fi.
Reviews student open lab use, software use, and network traffic trends. Generates data reports and assists in enforcing laboratory acceptable use policies.
Assists in scheduling and preparing for special events requiring use and/or access to labs or classroom technology resources.
Participates in special projects, as assigned, including collaborating and interfacing with internal and external partners; offering project input; providing hands-on technical expertise.
Works closely with other staff members in the IT and Instructional Media departments to fulfill assigned tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
