Payroll Specialist/Accountant (Remote)

General position summary:
This position is responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll and supporting Accounting.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Payroll
• Process semi-monthly payroll for all staff located in eight states.
• Produce weekly and monthly employee utilization reports.
General
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Contract review and processing
• Assist other accounting functions as needed, including assisting A/P, A/R, or project-specific activities to support billing and contract requirements.
Job Skills:
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A good understanding of Excel is required.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, team-oriented individual.

Job Conditions:
• Our employees work remotely. Our headquarters is in downtown Portland, Oregon, and is open for workers as needed. The job requires the physical ability to operate a telephone and computer, sit for extended periods of time, and occasionally, the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Education and/or Experience:
• 1 – 3 years experience working in an accounting department.
• High school diploma.
• 1-2 years of college-level courses in Accounting are a plus.
• Payroll software experience required – ADP preferred
• Prior experience in a professional services firm is a plus.
• Deltek Vision experience is a plus.
